1. Open With Two Spreaders

Never open with a single word. Play two openers that between them cover 10 different letters — CRANE + SLOTH, or SLATE + CRONY. You instantly harvest feedback from four boards on ten letters at once.

2. Vowels Beat Consonants

Words rich in A, E, I, O, U and the heavy hitters R, T, N, S, L give the most information per guess. Scare-average openers like AUDIO, RAISE, or STARE are far better than flashy words with rare letters.

3. Read All Four Boards First

Before you lock anything in, check what green and yellow tiles each board gave you. A word that solves board 2 might blow up boards 1 and 3. Play the guess that helps the most boards, not the one that flatters one.

4. Close Boards, Don't Chase Them

When a board shows two or three grays in a row, stop feeding it. Park it and pour your remaining guesses into the boards with real color. You win by solving all four, so the stragglers decide the game.

5. Use the Shared Keyboard
